Lauren Manaker
Lauren is a nutrition expert, three-time book author, freelance writer, recipe developer, and media spokesperson. With a special focus on women's and pediatric nutrition, Lauren has a passion for conveying complicated nutrition information to this unique and engaged population.
She was awarded the Emerging Leader in Women's Health award by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Outstanding Dietitian of the Year award from the Charleston-Trident Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She currently volunteers her time by holding executive committee positions with the Women's Health practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the South Carolina Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Go Red for Women - American Heart Association committee.
Lauren has been interviewed by dozens of media outlets, including Us News and World Report, CNN, Shape, Self, POPSUGAR, Southern Living, and more. She is a frequent contributor to several publications like Eating Well, VeryWell Health, and Oxygen.com, is on the Medical Expert Board for Eat This, Not That!, and manages her Instagram page @LaurenLovesNutrition -- where she provides education to her audience (the majority of the audience is younger women who are focused on their fertility, a healthy pregnancy, postpartum health, infant/pediatric nutrition, and overall wellness). She also frequents various lifestyle news segments, highlighting nutrition tips.
Lauren spent five years working on Nestle's maternal and infant nutrition team, where she mastered the art of conveying complicated scientific information to the general public.
